Hidden away in the West Pennant Hills valley, Playdays Preparatory Preschool is the best start for your children in their years before school.
Our programs focus on "hands on" exploratory learning based on the interests of the children. The children have a unique ownership of our program whereby their ideas, comments and suggestions are highly valued and included in all stages of the program development. We answer children's questions, challenge their ideas of the world and provide them with new directions to stimulate their thinking.
To compliment this programming style, our fully qualified Preschool teachers follow a specifically designed Preschool curriculum (unique to Playdays). This program provides a strong educational and developmentally appropriate foundation to support the children's learning, thus ensuring that our children are always challenged, stimulated and involved in their own educational process.
In addition, the Playdays transition to school curriculum ensures that our children are well prepared across all key learning areas to meet and exceed the expectations required for school entry.
We have a key focus on health and wellbeing within the Preschool. Our Preschool menus are specifically designed to only include fresh healthy food, prepared and cooked on premise by our fully qualified chef. Our children understand the importance of healthy eating and caring for ourselves through good food choices. Playdays children have fun and form lifelong friendships, develop self-confidence and excel in our professionally developed Preschool program.
Come and see the Centre for yourself - we know you won't be disappointed. Please note that children attending this centre are required to be toilet trained.
CCB and Tax rebates are available for eligible families. Limited vacancies for 2012. Waiting list applications for 2013 are now being taken.
Parent Testimonal
It is so rare for my expectations to be exceeded and for that to have happened in an area impacting my child’s development and happiness is something for which I will be forever thankful. It is difficult to pinpoint any particular aspect of West Pennant Hills Playdays delivery that makes them so exceptional. In every way they are outstanding – their professionalism, their focus on all aspects of each child’s development, their expertise, their personable and caring approach with the children and parents and so much more. I have never walked into the Centre without having been greeted and had staff pick up on whether I was in a rush or was worried about something relating to my child and in need of a chat, I have never collected my child without receiving verbal feedback on his day and I have never provided comments in the written feedback booklet each child has, that wasn’t actioned. Perhaps most tellingly, I have also never heard a single negative comment about the Centre exchanged in the car park (or anywhere else). I don’t know who developed the policies and procedures at WPH Playdays, how their recruitment and training are managed or how their culture, values and standards were developed and are maintained but in every one of these areas they have excelled. I know that because all of these things have to be perfectly aligned and beautifully executed in order to deliver the experience my child and I have had there. My only disappointment has been that, despite my pleading with Kirsty, apparently the Centre can’t look after my child’s education through to the HSC. I am so grateful for the influence WPH Playdays has had on my child and would, and do on a regular basis, recommend the Centre without reservation of any kind. Lynda Cannon
